Top chefs in Canada collaborate for Vancouver event

These Boyz Got Game

Vancouver chef Geoff Rogers and his Blacktail Restaurant play host to a posse of top chefs from across Canada on March 19. The occasion for the gathering is an event celebrating the nation’s natural bounty called #fortheloveofGAME

Joining Rogers in the West Coast contingent is Chef Nick Nutting, who helms Tofino’s Wolf in the Fog, named enRoute magazine’s top new Canadian restaurant in 2014.

Medium Rare’s own Chef Cam Dobranski will be showing off the rustic mountain and prairie-inspired flavours of his Calgary restaurants: Brasserie, Winebar Kensington and Container Bar.

Representing central Canada is Chef Scott Vivian of Beast in Toronto, who will be celebrating Ontario’s farmers and producers.

Chef Murray McDonald makes it a truly national endeavour, bringing the East Coast flavours and foraged fare that have made his restaurant at the Fogo Island Inn an international destination.

Some of the guys coming together for this badass collaboration will be meeting face-to-face for the first time, so the stories (and BS) will be flowing like rum from a busted barrel. Come to think of it, the rum will be flowing like rum from a busted barrel.
